Amethyst Online Academy
” I attended Amethyst demonstration school from 2000 to 2002. The teachers and resident counselors at the time were not only skilled in teaching but able to give individual attention to each child they worked with. I had a schooling program that worked with my strengths in learning skills along with an adaptable approach in teaching where I was struggling. The school gave me the skill set and learning tools to succeed in schooling. Learning didn’t stop there tho. The residential aspects of the program also works with kids to build self esteem, social skills, everyday living skills and to learn group cooperation as well as personal goal achievements. At the time (being a typical teenager) I didnt fully appreciate just how lucky I was to be accepted into such a school. As an adult I’m grateful to have had the 2 wonderful years i had with some of Ontario’s best teachers in my opinion. I have life skills and an understanding of how I learn that I might not have gotten if it wasn’t for the people working there. Thank you to you all. “
